The first and second cohorts of MA History students at Gulu University on September 30, 2022, held a seminar, the first of a series, during which individuals presented their research and received comments and questions from their colleagues, a supervisor, and other interested participants.

Eighteen students of Gulu University have today been confirmed beneficiaries of UPCHAIN grants during the opening session of a three-day workshop on concept note and proposal writing held at the university’s new library.

Dr. Agatha Alidri, the BSU Coordinator, has been awarded a Carnegie Post-doctoral fellowship development grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York through Makerere University’s Consolidating Early Career Academic Programme (CECAP) 2022-2024.

The first UPCHAIN training workshop ended on September 14, 2022, with a call for students to reflect on the experiences and needs of the community as they conduct research.

A team from the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) was this week on a four day visit to Gulu University.
