The Vice Chancellor of Gulu University, Professor George Ladaah Openjuru, has welcomed the establishment of a new network linking researchers, science journalists, and civil society activists, describing it as a valuable platform for expanding public understanding of science and research and fostering collaboration that can improve lives.

Dr. Agatha Alidri, the Coordinator of the Building Stronger Universities (BSU) project, has been awarded the Best Networker 2024–2025 by the Empowerment for Research-Based Advocacy (EReBA) project.

Gulu University Vice Chancellor, Professor George Ladaah Openjuru, has hailed the Building Stronger Universities (BSU) project as the most impactful project he has ever come across, citing its far-reaching contributions to capacity building, research, and institutional development.

In one of the shortest speeches you will ever hear, Dr. Jerry Bagaya, the Academic Registrar of Gulu University, expressed his gratitude:

“There are two critical departments we were lacking—ODELL and Special Needs. I am glad the problem is half solved. Thank you!”

Today, BSU was honoured to host the European Union (EU) Delegation in Uganda at Gulu University.
