Today, BSU was honoured to host the European Union (EU) Delegation in Uganda at Gulu University.
The EU ambassadors are currently in northern Uganda to acquaint themselves with the issues affecting the region as it struggles to recover from the effects of the Lords’ Resistance Army (LRA) conflict.
At Gulu University, they were particularly interested to learn about the university’s activities in Transitional Justice (TJ).
They officially launched the Gulu University Centre of Excellence in Transitional Justice and Refugee Studies (GU-CERT), which is hosted by the Institute of Peace and Strategic Studies (IPSS), and supported by BSU.
