On March 20, 2024, the CONSCOV team delivered reproductive health services and care to sex workers in Gulu City.
The BSU4-GU Project aims to strengthen Gulu University’s capacity to deal with pressing social problems through excellent teaching and research that engages stakeholders and is effectively communicated and disseminated to other scholars and to the local communities. To do this, the project seeks to strengthen graduate training in Gulu University.
The CONSCOV team on March 1, 2024, held a meeting with the partners in the refugee sector to share its findings on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sexual and reproductive health of the youth and adolescents in northern Uganda.
BSU seeks to strengthen graduate training at Gulu University by increasing the number of staff with PhD and Post Doc Degrees.

Today, on the 9th of February 2024, the BSU Steering Committee Chairperson, Assoc. Prof. Charles Nelson Okumu has received his PhD from Gulu University.

January is normally the month when many organisations either plan or review their plans for the New Year. BSU is no exception. The academic year at Gulu University started on January 8. We have since been focussing our attention on how best BSU can deliver on its fundamental and long-held objective of making Gulu a stronger university.
Over 50 teachers from 15 primary and secondary schools in Adjumani and Obongi districts have undergone training in handling sexual and reproductive health issues among adolescents and the youth.
Gulu University on December 20, 2023, held a dialogue with officers of the Uganda Police Force (UPF) from the Aswa West Region to discuss and find ways of working together to enhance security and safety within the region, especially to provide a safe environment for young people. Aswa West comprises Gulu City and the districts of Gulu, Amuru, Nwoya and Omoro.
